Heyfield Vintage Machinery Shed

As you leave Heyfield heading east you will pass the Heyfield Vintage Machinery Shed located adjacent to the trail in Fawaz Street. Although not open to the public an assortment of machines is still visible. Owned and operated by the Heyfield and District Vintage Machinery Group, etablished in 1983, the group is dedicated to the preservation of Australian heritage and culture. The shed is not open to the public, but arrangements may be made in advance to view the many agricultural vintage items. On the third weekend of May each year the group conducts its annual two day rally, which attracts participants from all over Victoria and New South Wales, and is a celebration of an era long past. The rally is held on the Gordon Street Reserve and features many working displays of majestic steam powered machinery, through to the humble blacksmith. There is something here to enthral and amaze every member of the family.
