Gippsland Plains Rail Trail Flora

The flora along the Gippsland Plains Rail Trail is diverse to say the least, and much of it is seasonal. From the smallest mosses to giant gum trees, and everything in between. Whilst these beautiful plants are found right along the trail, it is in the Dawson Flora Reserve specifically that you will find many species which are listed as "Flora of Significance".

We encourage you to enjoy, and photograph, the spectacle that these wonderful plants often present, but please note that native vegitation is protected by law, and removal is prohibited. Unauthorized removal of native vegetation harms our environment and can attract large fines.
